Privacy Policy

Receipt Inbox processes receipts, invoices, images, PDF files, recognized text, and expense records locally on your device. This content is not uploaded to our servers.

Information you provide

You may add receipt images, PDF documents, merchant names, dates, amounts, currencies, categories, and notes. These items remain on your device and are used only to provide the app's receipt organization, text recognition, history, and export features.

Technical data

Receipt Inbox uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition. The ML Kit SDK may automatically collect limited technical information such as device and app information, installation identifiers, performance measurements, API configuration, feature usage information, and error codes. This information is transmitted using an encrypted connection and is used for diagnostics and usage analytics. Receipt images, recognized text, and recognition results are processed on the device and are not sent to Google by the text-recognition feature.

Purchases

The optional full-version purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. The app checks purchase status through Google Play to unlock paid features.

Sharing and advertising

We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share receipt content with other companies. Technical processing performed by Google services is subject to Google's applicable privacy terms.

Storage and deletion

Your receipt and expense data is stored locally. You can remove individual records, use the app's “Delete all app data” option, or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information. Because Receipt Inbox has no user accounts or developer-operated server storage, there is no server account or cloud receipt database to delete.

Permissions

The app may request access to the camera or to files and photos that you choose so it can capture or import receipts. Access is used only for the feature you select.

Children

Receipt Inbox is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The latest version and its update date will remain available on this page.
